Hazel Smyth uses natural and semi-precious stones, sterling silver, and 14k gold vermeil in classic "go to" designs as well as in elegant statement pieces. The line offers a variety of gold and silver hoop earrings with or without colored stones as well as chandelier and drop earrings. Staple pieces are beautiful gold or silver necklaces that can be draped together or doubled for a multi-strand look. Sterling and gold bracelets and rings complete the collection. The designs range from classic shapes such as hand-hammered and hand-formed wire hoops to original creations hand-cast from wax molds. Stones include turquoise, onyx, carnelian, pearl, malachite, pink coral, smoky quartz, amazonite, aventurine, citrine, pink quartz and crystal quartz.
Elizabeth Herff, Hazel Smyth's designer, is a native Texan with a passion for details. In 2003, she founded Hazel Smyth to follow her passion and honor the creativity she admired in her grandmothers: “Hazel” who was a milliner for Dallas society women and "Smyth", the family name of her maternal grandmother who deconstructed her couture garments to create affordable multiples.
