Neil Morris is one of the leading independent fragrance designers in the United States and the face behind Neil Morris Fragrances. Neil is up for a FiFi Award- the equivalent of an Oscar for his perfume Takashimaya.
For more than 30 years, Neil Morris has created custom fragrances for individual clients, private label for companies, and scents for special occasions that are exotic and smoldering with style. His unique process and approach to fragrance design combines exploration, refinement, and inspiration from the top perfumers.
Neil discovered his passion for fragrances at a young age, inheriting his acute sense of smell from his mother. As a child walking through the woods with friends, he became intensely aware of the earth’s scent as it shifted from winter to spring. This experience would later propel him to create his rare and exceptional fragrances.
Neil uses his imagination, intuition, and expert knowledge of perfumery along with his client’s vision to create their custom fragrances. He translates clients’ happy memories into their bespoke perfume, reflecting the real person. “My clients are their own celebrities and I'm their storyteller and painter - only I do it with scent,” says Neil.

His own line of Signature Scents was released in Spring 2008 and is found in boutiques nationwide and at www.neilmorrisfragrances.com. The line is rich with lingering and harmonious layers that reveal their textures over time and explore many daring possibilities. Each product creation is based on Neil’s imagery and personal memories. A detailed description describes the muse that influenced its subtle notes.
Neil is an avid traveler, having visited India, Nepal and New Zealand, as well as most of Europe. He’s most happy when sitting with a client creating a custom perfume (also known as bespoke fragrances) or introducing people to the many scents that he has created over the years.
