Natural violet sapphires, Pamir spinel, opals that look like galaxies frozen in time: these are just some of the elements that make Un Hada creations unique and magical. Inspired by fairytales in this world and the imaginary, Un Hada designer Jocelyn Prestia, a New Yorker based in Bangkok, Thailand, combines delicate, fanciful designs with rare and undiscovered gemstones to create fine jewelry that transports its wearer off to enchanted worlds, making them feel as though a bit of fairydust has just been sprinkled upon them.
Living out her own fairytale, Jocelyn moved to Thailand, land of glittering wats, to study gemology at the world-renowned Gemological Institute of America in Bangkok. It was while studying at the GIA that images of fairytales started to creep into her mind, and designs began to leap out onto paper.
Handcrafted in 18k gold and set with stones from around the world, each piece tells a story which fits perfectly into the scene of a fairytale. Un Hada literally translates to “a fairy” in Spanish and it is Jocelyn’s goal to fuse the magic of fairytales with the sophistication of couture jewelry, the result being wearable magic.
Being based in Bangkok, colored gem capital of the world, gives Jocelyn access to the rarest and most beautiful gemstones in the world. She is currently the only known designer to use Hackmanite, which actually changes color in the sun, demonstrating the distinctive uniqueness of her extraordinary line.
